Katedra za Oftalmologiju
O katedri
Nastavna baza Katedre za oftalmologiju je Klinika za oftalmologiju, na prvom katu glavne zgrade KBC Rijeka. Na katedri rade četiri oftalmologa i jedan administrator.
Katedra drži nastavu oftalmologije na sveučilišnim dodiplomskim studijima medicine i stomatologije, te stručnom studiju sestrinstva.
Oftalmološka služba u Rijeci osnovana je 1891. godine pod rukovodstvom primariusa Isidora Garofola. Klinikom postaje 1963. godine dolaskom prof.dr.sc. Davora Gliga. Danas je Klinika za oftalmologiju KBC Rijeka središnja institucija znanstveno-nastavne i stručne oftalmološke djelatnosti Primorsko Goranske županije, te zapošljava šesnaest oftalmologa.
