Letter of invitation
On request the Congress Secretariat will send a letter of invitation. This letter is only to help delegates to raise travel funds or to obtain a visa.
Congress language
The official language of the Congress is English.
Coffee breaks
During the conference session breaks coffee will be served free of charge for participants.
Lunch
Lunch is included in the registration fee for participants.
Car parking
Participants the Congress arriving by car are advised to use free parking space which is available at the Congress Centre.
Currency and banking facilities
The official currency in Croatia is the Croatian Kuna. Major foreign currencies can be readily exchanged for Kunas at many exchange offices and at the hotels.
Climate
The Opatija climate for the mid of September is pleasantly dry and temperate. Opatija has a mild and pleasant climate, with average air temperatures of approximately 230 C and water temperatures of 20 to 260 C for the period of June/September.
The September climate will permit comfortable walks and excursions to nearby fishing villages, restaurants and points of interest. Tennis shoes and casual clothing will be helpful in the seaside "Paradise Promenade". It would be advisable to have your raincoat handy.
Passport & Visa
No visas are needed for almost all European countries, USA, Israel and Australia. On your request, the Organizers will check whether you have to have visa.
Check now if your passport will be valid in September 1998!
